He has won the Bram Stoker, International Horror Guild, British Fantasy, and British Science Fiction Awards, and been nominated for the Hugo and World Fantasy Award.

James Marriott was an author and film critic, with a particular passion for horror cinema. His work was published by Virgin Books, Scarecrow Press, Centipede Press, and in SFX magazine. He passed away in 2012.
