Matty Matheson, the man behind the flavour, is a chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, actor, producer, and culinary consultant. He was executive chef of Parts & Labour, and has since opened restaurants in Toronto including Matty's Patty Burger Club, Fonda Balam, Ca Phe Rang, and Prime Seafood Palace.

He's also a cast member and producer of the hit food-centric show The Bear and head of pantry staples brand Matheson Food Company. He lives with his wife and children in Fort Erie, Ontario, where he opened the restaurant Rizzo's House of Parm.
